More Information

The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Warsaw or from our office near the central station. (Pickup from Łódź is also possible.) We’ll start with a brief visit to the world’s first iron bridge before heading to our main destination: the Maurzyce ethnographic village, an open-air museum showcasing traditional village life, culture, and folklore of the Łowicz area.

As we walk among the beautifully preserved village houses, most of which were relocated here for conservation, you’ll visit old schools, churches, a parsonage, and more. The tour offers a window into rural life in 19th century Poland, from the colorful artistry of folk traditions to the everyday hardships faced by villagers.

From Maurzyce, we’ll continue to the town of Łowicz, the region’s historical center. There, we’ll see its unique triangular market square, one of only three in all of Europe. After a short walking tour of the town center, we’ll head to the romantic Arkadia Park, known for its English-style gardens and serene landscapes.

Throughout the day, you’ll gain insight into the social and cultural contrasts that have shaped Polish history, from peasant life to aristocratic elegance.

We’ll end the tour at Arkadia Park and return to Warsaw. If you’re traveling between Warsaw and Łódź (in either direction), this tour is a perfect way to turn your transfer into an unforgettable day trip.
