Our Trail of the Eagles’ Nests comfort hiking adventure package follows the legendary and spectacular trail winding through castles, caves, forests, and limestone cliffs in the Silesian Upland. This multi day journey takes you from the ruins of Olsztyn Castle to the well restored Bobolice Fortress, past forested trails, medieval watchtowers, quiet villages, and stunning geological formations like “The Eye” in Okiennik and the rocky slopes of Birow Hill. You’ll travel through scenic hills and woodlands, explore hidden caves and beautiful lakes, and enjoy panoramic views from natural lookouts such as Apteka and Żbik hills.

Olsztyn Castle – Złoty Potok – Ostrężnik Ruins – Bobolice – Okiennik – Podzamcze

Day 1: Częstochowa

Welcome to Częstochowa!

After checking in the hotel in Częstochowa, you can settle in and calmly prepare for the hike ahead. Take the opportunity to explore the city: visit a local market to gather snacks or supplies for the first days, and enjoy dinner in one of Częstochowa’s vibrant restaurants or bars. This is where your journey begins.

Day 2: Olsztyn Castle – Złoty Potok

Welcome to Olsztyn, Silesia. Just before you jump into the hiking trail, the first “Eagle’s Nest” will be waiting for you above the town center. This is one of the most stunning sites you’ll encounter along the trail, featuring the ruins of a castle rising above the landscape. From there, you’ll begin walking through forest paths and villages, passing through Puchacz where you can find several caves at its foot, until you reach the Złoty Potok area, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Złoty Potok – Ostrężnik Ruins – Mirow Area

The second day of the hike begins with walking alongside lakes, some of which are suitable for swimming. Along the way, you’ll pass through woodland dotted with caves. The “Eagle’s Nest” for this day is located between cliffs, where the Ostrężnik Castle once stood. From there, you’ll continue through villages until reaching Mirów Castle (optional). This day is characterized mainly by forest trails, villages, and impressive rock formations rising above the path.

Day 4: Mirow – Mount Żbik – Zamek

The third day of the hike begins with an optional visit to Bobolice Castle, the most impressive and well preserved castle you’ll encounter along the trail.
From the castle, you’ll continue into a wooded area that stretches over several hills and is rich with stunning geological formations and many caves.

You’ll pass through the Geological Park area on Żbik Hill. From there, the route continues to Apteka Hill for a breathtaking viewpoint over the hiking region. From there, you’ll head to one of the nearby villages, where you’ll spend the night after visiting the lookout point above Zamek (castle ruins).

Day 5: Zamek – “The Eye” in Okiennik – Mount Birow – Podzamcze

You’ll begin this busy day by hiking to one of the most beautiful spots on this trip, “The Eye” in Okiennik (a striking rock formation with a large natural hole resembling an eye). From there, you’ll continue through villages and forests to Birów Hill, the site of a medieval settlement. After visiting Birów Hill, you’ll proceed to Podzamcze, where you’ll stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 6: Podzamcze

This day is open for your decision, you can walk another day on the trail, get a guided climbing experience or relax in spa.

We provide a Luggage and equipment transfer service on the Eagle’s Nests Trail in Poland so that you can set off with peace of mind and without carrying a lot of equipment.
The transfer of equipment is carried out between the planned accommodations of this package.
