Overview

Join us for a full day adventure tour in the Eagles’ Nest Scenic park of the Polish Jura Highland.

Discover one of our favorite regions on this unforgettable day trip through the Eagles’ Nest Scenic Park, located in the picturesque Jura Highland. This fairy tale landscape, filled with striking cliffs and lush nature, is named after a series of medieval fortresses dramatically perched atop limestone rocks, like eagle’s nests.

The Jura stretches in the historical region of Silesia, home to one of Poland’s most sacred sites. It’s a perfect day tour that combines stunning natural scenery, visits to ancient castles and abandoned palaces, charming rural villages, historic towns, streams, caves, and endless green landscapes.

We accept online bookings for up to 8 participants, for a bigger group please contact us or email us at: hello@outdoor-vacations.com

More Information

The journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Warsaw or from our our travelers center near the city’s central train station. From there, we head south to the breathtaking Eagles’ Nest Scenic Park.

Our first stop is Olsztyn in the Silesian region, where we’ll enjoy a refreshing coffee break in the charming town square to stretch after the drive. Then we take a short hike up to the Olsztyn Castle ruins for a walking tour and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

Next, we visit the fascinating Siedlecka Desert, yes you read correctly, a desert in Poland. From the desert, we continue to the Wiercica River, where you’ll have a chance to cool off with a dip in the water, a sharp contrast to the dry sands. We’ll also take a scenic walk to a nearby cave, offering a glimpse into the area’s natural geology.

Our journey continues with a tour around Mirow Castle and a panoramic viewpoint of the majestic Bobolice Castle, one of the best-preserved fortresses along the Eagles’ Nests Trail.

Along the way, we’ll travel through the stunning landscapes of the Kraków Częstochowa Jura, discussing the historical significance of the area, including the ancient defensive line that once protected Kraków, then Poland’s royal capital, and insights into the unique Silesian region.

Before heading back to Warsaw, we’ll end the day with a short hike to the tour’s highlight, the Wielki Okiennik (The Great Rock Window), a magnificent natural arch carved into the limestone cliffs. It’s one of the most iconic viewpoints in the region, offering a fantastic photo opportunity and a final breathtaking view over the highlands.

After a full day of adventure, nature, and history, we begin our comfortable return drive to Warsaw.
